District Court
This morning the suit of Mrs. Brockcr,
widow of the late Geo. Brocker,
against the Houston and Texas Central
railroad, was settled by agreement,
the railroad giving the widow
and her children $10,000. The deceased,
Geo. Brocker, was an engineer on
the Houston and Texas Central railroad
for a number of years, and was
killed at Hearne a few weeks ago by
a part of his engine blowing up. Mrs.
Brocker is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. J. A. Hlghnote of Corsicana, and
is now making her home with her parents
here.
