Deceased Name: Virgie Bradford Featherston
ARLINGTON -- Virgie Bradford Featherston, 100, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at an Arlington nursing home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana. The Rev. J. Scott Holmes will officiate. Graveside service: 4 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis.
Pallbearers: Jerry Holloway, Steve Featherston, John E. Featherston Jr., Bobby W. Featherston Jr., Gary Lee Watson Sr. and Gary Gober.
Virgie Bradford Featherston was born May 21, 1903, near Edom. She was the faithful wife of John A. Featherston, who preceded her in death in 1968. She was the loving mother of six children. She was preceded in death by three of her sons, Claude W. Featherston, in 1935; Ernest B. Featherston in 1998; and Raymon D. Featherston in 2000.
She was a former resident of Corsicana and a member of That Church in Corsicana, an Assembly of God church.
Survivors: Daughter, Lucille Holloway of Arlington; sons, John E. Featherston Sr. of Arlington, Bobby W. Featherston Sr. of Dallas; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
