      Jessie Albert Gorman
      Albert Gorman, 81, of Corsicana, died Friday, April 18, 1997 in Corsicana. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Corley Chapel, with Mr. Russell Bankes of North Beaton Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

      Mr. Gorman was a member of the North Beaton Church of Christ. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving under General Patton and was seriously injured at Dillingen, Germany while in the 90th Infantry Division.

      He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

      Mr., Ruby Burgett of Corsicana; and a brother, Melvin Gorman of Corsicana . Gorman is survived by a son, Albert Ray Gorman; two daughters Winona Faye Childress of Arlington and Vickie Barnes of Mesquite; a sister Corsicana.

      ARRIVED OVERSEAS - Pvt. Jesse Albert Gorman, U. S. Army Infantry has arrived safely overseas and is now somewhere in France according to letters received by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Gorman of Corsicana. A letter was received last week telling of arriving in England and this week another letter said he was somewhere in France. A machinist at the American Well and Prospecting Company before entering the armed Forces March 6, 1944, Pvt. Gorman at one time was a barber. His wife and two small children reside here while his mother, Mrs. R. M. Gorman is a resident of Roane.

      WOUNDED IN ACTION - Pfc. Jessie A. Gorman, 28, U. S. Army, infantry, was seriously wounded in action in Germany December 21, according to information from the war department received by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Gorman, 124 Mamie Avenue. Prior to entering the service March 6, 1944, he was employed at the American Well and Prospecting Company. His mother, Mrs. R. M. Gorman, is a resident of Roane, where he attended school. [3]

      Pvt. Jessie Albert Gorman, son of Robert and Lavinia Gorman. Husband of the former Juanita Mitcham. Attended Montfort School. Entered service in March 1944, training at Camp Fannin, Tyler. Was with the 90th Infantry Div., 358th Battalion in the 3rd Army. Active in the European Theater of Operations. Seriously wounded in Germany on December 21, 1944. Received 3 Campaign Ribbons, 3 Battle Stars, Purple Heart, Good Conduct Ribbon and Sharpshooter's Medal. Received a medical discharge in 1944.
