PILOT POINT - George "Washie" Vaughan of Pilot Point, a retired employee of the Texas Highway Department maintenance division, died Saturday at a Pilot Point nursing home. He was 80.
Funeral was Monday at Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home.
Burial was in Sanger Cemetery.
Mr. Vaughan was born in Sanger. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Denton.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Ann's Haven Hospice in Denton.
Survivors: Sister, Jessie Melton of Cleburne; five brothers, Varnie Vaughan of Arlington, Bill Vaughan of Fort Worth, Monroe Vaughan of Garland, and J.C. Vaughan and Troyce Vaughan, both of Florida; and one grandson.
