Marvin McWhorter, 87, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died Thursday. Graveside services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

OBITUARIES, MARVIN MCWHORTER
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Graveside services for Marvin (Mac) McWhorter, 87, of Chattanooga, Tenn., will be at 3 p.m. today at Forest Park Cemetery with Rev. Quinby Collier officiating under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Born in Greenville on May 1, 1916, he was the son of Marvin McWhorter and Sarah Dove Strong McWhorter. He was married to Gladys Elizabeth Warner for 50 years. She preceded him in death. He was retired from American Oil Company after more than 30 years service.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Quinby Collier of Chattanooga, Tenn.; grandchildren Ira Collier of Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama, Kay Kladifko of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Clark Collier of Panola, Kan.
